What are Moonstones?

Moonstones are virtual goods anyone can buy on our platform. For every Moonstone you give a creator, the creator earns $0.01. So if you give your favorite creator 100 Moonstones, they earn $1.

Buying and Using Moonstones

Moonstones can be bought in the store on our website (through the shop icon beneath the Moonbeam logo in the top left of the screen). All Moonstones are sold in US dollars and come in various pack sizes and prices.

Whenever you see something you like, there are ways to give the creator Moonstones so they can earn from their content! Right now, Moonstones can be used to tip during a stream or subscribe to a Realm.

Tips and Residual Splits

A tip is a one-time gift of Moonstones to a creator given while they are streaming. A residual split allows creators to share Moonstones with others when they receive a tip. Moonstones are automatically shared based on percentages set by the creator before they start streaming.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are monthly recurring gifts of Moonstones to the Realm Owner. It allows Realms and creators to offer exclusive content, such as subscriber-only chat rooms, streams, emotes, badges, and more.
